This is a collection of some of my favourite inspirational famous movie quotes. I've just got to start of with Castaway and Shawshank Redemption because those two movies just inspired me so much and for such a long time after seeing them.
You always know you've watched a really good movie if when the titles roll you're compelled to just sit and contemplate what you seen. Great movies with absorbing characters, story lines and a good ending are sometimes hard to come by.
These movies contain all the lessons in life you'll need about perseverance, hope, love, friendship, and freedom. Awesome inspirational stuff. Here's to new beginnings.
Chuck Noland:"I know what I have to do now.
I have to keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun will rise.
Who knows what the tide could bring?."
Tom Hanks in Castaway - 2000
Chuck Noland: "Wilson! WILSON! I'm sorrrrrry!"
Tom Hanks in Castaway - 2000
Red:(narrating)"I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still
or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only
a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey
whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border.
I hope to see my friend and shake his hand.
I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams.
Morgan Freeman in The Shawshank Redemption - 1994
Rocky Dennis: "Don't worry Mr Simms.
I look weird, but otherwise I'm real normal. Everything'll be cool."
Eric Stolz in Mask - 1985
Adrian: "I love you."
Rocky:"I love you."
Sylvester Stallone in Rocky - 1976
Gandhi: "When I despair,
I remember that the way of truth and love has always won.
There may be tyrants and murderers, and for a time,
they may seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall.
Think of it: always."
Ben Kingsley in Gandhi - 1982

Richard D. Winters: (from a real life interview with Winters where he quotes Mike Ranney on how Ranney answered a question
his grandson once asked him)
I treasure my remark to my grandson who asked,
"Grandpa, were you a hero in the war?" Grandpa said,
"No… but I served in a company of heroes."
Damian Lewis played Winters in the tv series Band of Brothers - 2001
Nelson Mandela: "How do you inspire your team to do their best?"
Francois Pienaar: "By example. I've always thought to lead by example, sir."
Nelson Mandela: Well, that is right. That is exactly right. But how do we get them to be better then they think they can be?
That is very difficult, I find. Inspiration, perhaps.
How do we inspire ourselves to greatness when nothing less will do?
How do we inspire everyone around us?
I sometimes think it is by using the work of others."
Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon in Invictus - 2009

William Wallace: "Every man dies. Not every man really lives."
Mel Gibson in Braveheart - 1995
William Wilberforce: "Perhaps we should begin this journey
with a first step."

Chris Gardner: "You got a dream, you got to protect it. People can't do something themselves, they want to tell you that you can't do it.
You want something? Go get it. Period."
Will Smith in The pursuit of Happyness - 2006
I hope you enjoyed this list of inspirational movies and famous movie quotes. I'll just leave you with one more famous movie quote. It may have been uttered by a small green fictional creature but there is an immense amount of truth in it. Life indeed is all about the doing.
Yoda: "Do or do not. There is no try."
Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back - 1980
